Board of Regents

The 25-32 person Board of Regents is the governing body at Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ. As governors of the institution, they maintain the ultimate authority in providing oversight to the university. Per California and federal non-profit law, the regents serve as “fiduciariesâ€ of the university and must act in accordance with the fiduciary duties of care, loyalty, and obedience. Per California University Bylaws, the regents delegate both the day-to-day and the strategic oversight of the university president whom they appoint.
